Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation. (Judges 10:14 KJV)
Unemployment figures are at their highest since 1974, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. “The economy is now locked in a vicious downward spiral in which employment, incomes and spending are collapsing together,” said Nigel Gault, chief U.S. economist at IHS Global Insight.
A look at the US Drought Monitor shows that all of Hawaii ranges from abnormally dry to extreme drought. Most of California rates severe drought, and moderate drought ranges from Oregon through Nevada, Utah and Colorado. Texas shows a spot of exceptional drought that appears at the center of a drought bulls eye across the state. Where the Carolinas meet Tennessee and Alabama has the same bulls eye effect.
Both of those factors would appear to be to be ‘tribulation.’ And, as a country we’re crying unto our politicians to fix it. Worldwide, other countries are doing the same.
We’ve been given an answer that has been used successfully before. It is often forgotten, and many people look upon it as a myth.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV)
Unlike Judges, which often stated And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord (2:11, 3:7, 3:12, 4:1, 6:1, 10:6, 13:1), the promise of hearing was made at the height of Solomon’s reign when all was going well.
We continually have the choice before us -- Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; or we can humble … pray … seek and turn from wicked ways.
Oh, yes, there are other options than these two. We can simply ignore and wait for the world to change around us. Which would you rather do?

Thank you for taking time to read and comment on the blog. Comments should take into consideration this verse: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8 KJV)
