Beautiful Princess

OK. Let’s first set the ground rules. The deity of Jesus is laid out in the New Testament.

But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. [Mark 14:61-62 KJV]

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. [John 8:56-58 KJV]

His followers are co-inheritors, children of the king.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. [John 1:12-13 KJV]

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. [Romans 8:14 KJV]

Thus young girls who follow Him can be called princess. With that in mind, two of our teachers planned the summer’s “Beautiful Princess” program for girls grades 5-8.

The first order of business is a tea party where the lesson is “Our Value in God’s Eyes.” The second will be a facial for each of the girls with the lesson “Physical Beauty: Not What It Looks Like.” Then will come a day of relaxing at a lake with the lesson “Perfecting Your Beauty,” followed by a game day with “The Power of Your Beauty.”

There will be a bake sale one weekend and that will help fund “The BOD Squad,” a Saturday of shopping at a large mall in the big city. (Remember, we live deep in the country!)

But that’s not the finale. We will have a hair styling day, with pictures made as they learn “Submit and Wait.” And a fitting closure is the Father-Daughter Dinner Date.

Why go to all this effort? These are special girls because they can be Daughters of the King. They live with the peer pressure of this world to blend in by doing what others do. There are classmates waiting for the birth of a baby, unable to focus on school. There are classmates fixated on idols of music and movies. The music they hear is not glorifying God through trust and belief, but extolling activities of the world. These are unbecoming to Children of the King.

There is a better way given in His word.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. [Romans 12:2 KJV]

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. [Titus 2:11-14 KJV]

  1. So true! What a way to teach these girls that real beauty is in the heart, and then the face will shine with a glow that only purity brings.
Our Christian Youth are some of the most beautiful in the land.

Thank you for taking time to read and comment on the blog. Comments should take into consideration this verse: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8 KJV)
