Stand Fast (and, please pray with me)

My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. (Psalms 89:28 KJV)

The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. (Psalms 111:7-8 KJV)

The Psalmist tells us that God will stand fast.

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. (1 Corinthians 16:13 KJV)

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1 KJV)

Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; (Philippians 1:27 KJV)

Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. (Philippians 4:1 KJV)

For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 3:8 KJV)

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. (2 Thessalonians 2:15 KJV)

Paul tells us over and over again that we need to stand fast, too.

There are so many times when we falter. I could name many in my own life, but everyone else can match those times and often give more. The solution is to reach for the strength from the One who accompanies us – when we ask Him to.

No matter how many times we fail Him, He continues to stand fast with us.

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. (Deuteronomy 31:6 KJV)

PS – I would certainly appreciate it if you would include in your prayers our young people as they head to camp this Monday morning. We pray for their safety in traveling; for the reaching of those souls who need Him as their Lord and Savior; for those who love Him and are ready to commit their lives to His service. Thank you in advance for your prayers.

Thank you for taking time to read and comment on the blog. Comments should take into consideration this verse: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8 KJV)
